How to increase Site Page Rank – talking about PR 6 and 7

Create quality content in your site. Or create a blog for your site and offer 3 way link.

– Make a lot of content on your site and cross link all your internal pages to each other and specially put links to your main page from all your pages.

– Create incoming links…as many as possible

– Purchase links from websites that have higher PR than you

– If you cannot do #3 because you dont have money, then you need thousands of links to get to PR6 or 7….think of offering something usefull or free that will make people naturally link to you…think of offering some kind of service or tool to webmasters that can link back to you…for example if your site sells t-shirts, then offer a free t-shirt to anyone that links to you from a PR5 or above site. Another idea is to run a contest and offer a service or product to a random winner that links to your wesbite. more relevant back links.

Quality content and quality links for the site.
Improve your link popularity for the site.
Add article page and so the user will visit your site.

Did You Know That Writing Articles….

Did you know that writing articles is a great way to get your name and your website link on the internet? Did you know that it is also a wonderful way to get links back to your website? Are you wondering why that is important?

Any links that refer back to your website will help to improve your search engine rank. It also helps people and prospective customers see you as an expert. This helps build credibility, which is invaluable to any business and especially an online business.

You can write articles even if you aren’t a professional writer, but a few things to do or consider –

1 – Carefully research the subject and be sure you know what you are talking about. It is very possible to write articles about a subject that is foreign to you. That is where research is so important.

2 – Read your work and cut the content if necessary. This is hard for professional writers too, but you have to edit and edit and edit again. It really helps to put it down for a couple of hours or a couple of days and then go back and read it.

3 – Once you think the article is perfect, read it out loud and make note of everything that sounds wrong. Most everyone finds things that are wrong.

4 – Now that you are sure its perfect, have someone read it for you and get their input. You don’t want someone who will say “It’s wonderful” if it truly needs work. Find someone who will give you an honest appraisal and be willing to listen. This is another thing that is hard for writers, but it’s the only way to improve.

5 – Are you asking why all these edits? This is because the article will represent your business and you to everyone who reads it. Will they see you as a professional?? That’s why you want to polish the article until it shines.

6 – A last thought, if you are writing the article in English and that isn’t your first language, ask someone to proofread it for you. Make sure this person is qualified to give you input of the content, spelling, grammar and so on.

Articles aren’t difficult to write and we all have something to say. Polishing and editing your story is the thing that will set you apart from many other people who write articles.

How Do I Rank At The Top Of The Search Engines?

If you plan on ranking at the top of the search engines, then I can’t stress enough the importance of educating yourself. The search engines are a highly competitive arena where only those who have taken the time to “learn the rules” claim a top 10 spot.

Very rarely these days will you hear of someone “getting lucky” and just magically sliding into a top ranking.

So if you want a top 10 listing under your best keywords and phrases (i.e. you want your site to appear in the top 10 listings when someone searches the key phrase “cotton balls” in Alta Vista, Yahoo!, Google, Excite, HotBot, etc.), then you need to do two things:

a) Examine the web sites that already rank in the top 10 under your best keywords and phrases — and look for patterns.

b) Use the proven know-how of the search engine experts to learn the ropes. If you want a top ranking, then you’ll want the experience and advice of someone who makes it their mission to keep up with the constantly changing rules of each search engine and directory.

In fact, before you spend a lot of time examining the sites of your competition for clues as to why they are listed among the top 10, I recommend seeking out these search engine gurus. With their advice, you’ll be better prepared to critically examine your competitors’ web sites for clues that explain why they’re at the top of the ranks.

Links Are Important For Your Site!

How to Format Links Within Your Content

An interesting thread over at Cre8asite Forums has members discussing links and how they should be formatted. Ironically, the thread, Should links still be underlined and blue?, is very similar to another thread that Ben (Phoenix) covered in November 2004, also at Cre8asite.

There are some good opinions regarding how to insert links in both of these threads, and may help you formulate thoughts on how to do linking on your website. As Ben noted in 2004, the main goal is visibility, especially if the link is a call to action. The main question is still “does the average user know it’s a link?”

My thoughts are that as long as you pick one method and stick with it, people will use the links. For SEO purposes, I like to try and insert at least one link per page to another relevant page within the content using descriptive anchor text. I try to avoid using the “Read more” anchor text found at the bottom of many pages on the Internet.
